A man has been killed in a single vehicle accident at Grafton this morning. Paramedics treated the 24-year-old passenger, but he died at the scene. It’s believed the car left the road and struck a drain. The 18-year-old masculine driver was taken to Grafton Base Hospital but was later released.

Two motorbike riders have died and another was critically injured following three separate crashes on North Coast roads this week. Yesterday’s fatality comes just one day after police launched a state-wide campaign aimed at lowering the road toll.

Two people have been killed in a horror smash on the Fresh England Highway near Wallabadah, just south of Tamworth. It’s the 2nd fatal accident along the spread of highway in a month.

The youthful mother involved in a horror crash, that killed her two-year-old daughter and gravely injured her baby boy south of Tamworth, was driving despite having her learner’s licence suspended. The toddler died at the scene and an 11-month-old boy was critically injured, after the car they were travelling in spinned down an embankment along the Fresh England Highway at Willow Tree last night. Inspector George Powderly from NSW Police told reporters in Sydney that the 20-year-old mother had her licence suspended a few months ago. Police are also investigating whether the child was decently restrained. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Crash Investigation Unit at Tamworth on six thousand seven hundred sixty eight 2890.

Police are leisurely piecing together the events leading up to the fatal stabbing of a 28-year-old man at Toukley on the Central Coast. The talented rugby league player was killed, as he ordered a pizza.

Two people have been killed, in a horror crash at Buccan, near Beenleigh just after nine this morning. A motorbike rider and his passenger, both in their 50s, were flung fifteen metres from their motorcycle after hitting a car at high speed. It’s believed they were overtaking a vehicle, when they crossed dual white lines and smashed into a car emerging from a driveway. “Queensland Ambulance Service arrived with a number of paramedics and worked tirelessly with QAS and passerbys attempting to revive and providing CPR to the two victims, and unluckily they were incapable to revive them” The seventy five year old disabled pensioner who’d been driving the car is recovering in hospital.

A seven-year-old boy has died following a car crash at Williamtown late yesterday afternoon. Police say a 35-year-old man was driving a Nissan Pathfinder, with four children aged inbetween seven and 14, along Medowie Road, when it left the road onto a grass section, hit a ditch and became airborne. The youthful boy suffered serious internal injuries and later died at John Hunter Hospital. The other passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver has undergone mandatory blood and urine tests.
