I usually post a lot of digital content, like photos and movies, and sometimes one slider plugin just won’t fit the purpose of the slideshow. I want everything to look good, but I’m afraid that using two slider plugins will actually cause WordPress to malfunction.

As long as the slider plugins themselves are compatible with your version of WordPress, there isn’t going to be any problem that you are using more than one of them. We recommend that you create a backup of your website, then install the two slider plugins. If anything goes wrong, you can lightly revert to the old version of your website.

It might be possible for two plugins to interfere with one another, but this is strongly dependent on the plugins themselves. There is no sure way of telling whether any two slider plugins would cause a WordPress website to malfunction.

Hello, Peter. What you are talking about is, most very likely, spam. These are comments created by people who are interested only in getting a link from your website. They want the link because it causes their website to show up in the very first pages of search engines.

These comments emerge generic because they are automated. In other words, it’s not an actual person that is visiting your website and leaving the comment – it’s an automated computer program which scans the Internet for blogs and it automatically places (identical in most cases) comments on people’s blogs.

We recommend that you install a plugin, like Akismet, to automatically filter those comments out.

I’ve been observing the phrase “Retina Ready” on lots of themes. What does that mean? Does it increase quality or something? I hope that’s not too plain of a question!

A retina display is one which has a very large amount of pixels per square inch. Because this means that the pixels are smaller, while the dimensions of the display are large, if objects had to be displayed with their common size, they would look very puny. Imagine a 5” smartphone that has 1920×1080 pixels. This is a very high pixel density, and if objects (such as photos) had to be displayed on a constant amount of pixels, they would show up very puny.

This is why retina ready themes actually know when the device has a large pixel density and they give objects larger dimensions so that they show up in normal size on mobile device screens.

A lot of the themes you’ve posted on this website seem to have included “Demo Content”. What is that? Why would I want demo content installed on my website?

Hi Scott, Demo Content is used when you’ve just installed the theme. You very first have to import it to your website, most likely via a XML file. When I’m looking at theme catalogs I see a lot of websites and they kind of all seem the same to me. Can you explain how and why you know that the themes you are sharing are superior to the others? The demos of most of the themes that I’m observing look excellent and the list of features is almost identical every time.

Think of the theme demos this way: they are the sales copy that is meant to make you want to buy the theme. No WordPress designer is going to display you a demo that has something faulty in it.

They will only display you the good sides of the theme, while attempting to cover up some of the not so good parts.

Just looking at a theme demo isn’t enough. If you have the list of features that the designers have mentioned, you should always check if those are present in the theme. For example, a good designer which knows that his code is correct and it will work at all times will have a page where he demonstrates a few of the custom-made fonts that are available in his theme.

Lots of themes also claim that they have lots features. Albeit this might be true, it is possible that under certain conditions some of those features might malfunction. And if those features malfunction, then you won’t have much use of them, would you?

Another thing that we are always looking out is the design and layout of the theme. Is the design good enough? Does the designer of the theme demonstrate enough of it? Just claiming that you have a powerful builder, X available layouts, and Y color schemes, isn’t enough. You have to prove that those actually work.

So to sum it all up, we take into account three things: what features the theme includes, how well it is designed, and current customer opinions. You can lightly find excellent designed themes that, when put to work, perform poorly. And you can find themes supporting all of the major plugins, and having the largest set of features – but that won’t be so significant if your website is below average.

Iv been searching for a fresh theme to buy, there are so many that I am having a difficult time to determine. Very first of all, im wondering about all the plugings iv installed, will they be compatible with my fresh theme?? The ones that worry me most are the cache and security plugings, they are very technical and they took time to figure out. Will I have to redo all of the widgit and the menus work over. I just cant determine on which theme to buy, as im finding faults on all of them. Actually the theme I bought was pretty basic, and ok until now, the theme hasnt been updated for five months… so time to switch. Switch is nice tho.

My main question is, themes like Avada or BeTheme, are they to loaded with stuff. Is this a good idea to have all those options? Can those options be turned off if not needed? Can we attempt a free demo of those themes to see if we indeed like them?

I need to be able to have two menu, and it be multi-author page and author box at the top of the author page with a brief bio, with a picture demonstrating from profile and not just from the avatar as some people dont want the account. That is what I like about them. Since my site is in french, I need the translation to be correct, as Iv seen some badly translated themes too… What else… Well thought for seo, responsive, rapid loading spead… not sure I like those page builder so much as it might cause problems when switching theme.

I think that WordPress store themes are relying on WooCommerce too much. I think that if there were a plugin with similar popularity it would be excellent competition for Woo. Now, they can do whatever they want. I personally think that you can end up paying hundreds of dollars for extensions of that plugin. Hence, WordPress isn’t going to be a cheap solution anymore.

I don’t think that a WordPress store theme can be as powerful as Shopify. The latter is a platform which is exclusively for creating online stores. WordPress embarked out as a blogging platform and most of its features come from plugins – that means that it is dependent. Just looking at a theme demo isn’t enough. If you have the list of features that the designers have mentioned, you should always check if those are present in the theme. For example, a good designer which knows that his code is correct and it will work at all times will have a page where he demonstrates a few of the custom-made fonts that are available in his theme.

Lots of themes also claim that they have lots features. Albeit this might be true, it is possible that under certain conditions some of those features might malfunction. And if those features malfunction, then you won’t have much use of them, would you?

Another thing that we are always looking out is the design and layout of the theme. Is the design good enough? Does the designer of the theme display enough of it? Just claiming that you have a powerful builder, X available layouts, and Y color schemes, isn’t enough. You have to prove that those actually work.

Iv been searching for a fresh theme to buy, there are so many that I am having a difficult time to determine. Very first of all, im wondering about all the plugings iv installed, will they be compatible with my fresh theme?? I need to be able to have two menu, and it be multi-author page and author box at the top of the author page with a brief bio, with a picture showcasing from profile and not just from the avatar as some people dont want the account. That is what I like about them. Since my site is in french, I need the translation to be correct, as Iv seen some badly translated themes too… What else… Well thought for seo, responsive, prompt loading spead… not sure I like those page builder so much as it might cause problems when switching theme.

I think that WordPress store themes are relying on WooCommerce too much. I think that if there were a plugin with similar popularity it would be excellent competition for Woo. Now, they can do whatever they want. I personally think that you can end up paying hundreds of dollars for extensions of that plugin. Hence, WordPress isn’t going to be a cheap solution anymore.

I don’t think that a WordPress store theme can be as powerful as Shopify. The latter is a platform which is exclusively for creating online stores. I have an online store and eCommerce themes from WordPress are truly good to use. I think that it’s very effortless and cheap to use WordPress for creating an online store. I don’t know why people are going for Shopify instead of this platform.

Parallax themes truly are a beauty. They are so different than anything else that you see. Most of the people say that parallax is only a petite effect, but it just enriches the browsing practice. I sometimes get carried away and play for a minute or two with the sections. That’s why I choose having it on my website – it’s fancy, stylish and it won’t hurt anyone.

personally, don’t think that parallax effects are that big of a deal. This is just an picture moving in the opposite direction of your scrolling. This creates an effect which is hard to perceive and makes it interesting. But there is nothing interesting about it. You want your visitors to read what you have on your website, you don’t want them playing with your background, noticing nothing in the process. Parallax themes might be interesting for photography portfolios on one-page themes, but anything besides that is just not cool with me. I think the trend is behind it’s peek.

It depends on the design of your website and on how you plan using the parallax effect. If you use photos that are “screaming” in nature, then it will most very likely surprise, not in a positive way, your clients. But if you use the right photos, that fit right into your design, then the parallax will surely leave a good very first opinion in your visitors.

I wouldn’t recommend using parallax effects for businesses and corporations, but if you are certain in what you are doing, then you should go for it.

That nine hundred seven theme hasn’t picked a good name, but their demo looks interesting. One page themes are flawless for utilizing the parallax effects and this seems like a theme that is act packed. I think that it could go for a bit more than just a portfolio.

Wynn was the only AJAX layout missing in this collection. AJAX nowadays is almost mandatory for online photography websites. It is one of the ways to make sure that you give your clients a pleasant time browsing your website, while speeding up the page loading times. Why didnt you feature Knead?

It is a very clean design with a fully responsive layout that is going to suck away your visitors. Apart from the powerful portfolio features, there are also other cool modules – custom-made contact forms and pages, pricing tables, visual customizer, custom-made typography, and advanced options panel. The best thing about the Knead is that it comes with several different demos that you can build upon.

I don’t think that WordPress is the right platform for creating gallery websites. A website builder would be much better. It’s true that you can use a page builder for wp, but that’s not very powerful. You are practically creating layouts with columns, that’s not very supple.

That’s a very wrong thought. Actually, website builders will require much more work. Given the fact that you are most most likely not a designer, I think that you will not be able to come up with a good outlook for your website. On the other arm you have wordpress and many plugins and themes. Now that’s a winning combination. You can create different things using the same template. How cool is that!?

Can you tell me whether I can import the data from my WooCommerce plugin onto another plugin for online stores on WordPress?

That strongly depends on the plugin that you want to import the data to. Some of the eCommerce plugins will permit you to import data from other plugins and some will not.

However, even if you can import data, it is still significant to check whether the plugin that you are going to use on your other site is compatible with the type of data from WooCommerce. Even tho’ this it the most popular way of creating an online store, a lot of its competitors do not support such “migration”.

We suggest that you went to the website of the fresh plugin and checked the features list. Then you can see whether the plugin supports WooCommerce or not.

I recently had a client who wields several WordPress real estate sites. He hired me to fix some technical stuff and play around with the settings so that the design of the website switches without switching the theme. The practice wasn’t as pleasant. Real Estate are indeed hard to customize. It’s better to get another theme rather than spending time on customizing the settings.

I think studiopress child themes are best to get any kind of web design.

A superb and Nice theme collection! for individual blogging platform. I truly like all the themes here. Please you can add two fantastic and most selling wordpress private blogging theme in your list for my site.

I’ve seen the DIVI theme the last time I was here! It’s superb and all, and I even own it. But I think that you should take it off – give some of the fresh competitors a chance. People love security, but they love creativity more. If you have more fresh themes then I think that your collection will be much more popular.

I agree that it’s been fairly some time. But I don’t agree that it should be taken down. This is a good theme. The developers have put in a lot of good work and they proceed supporting the theme. These are the types of products that should be promoted. This is the way a product should be developed and this should be a template business plan for other theme creators. I think that a compromising solution would be to stir it a few places below. I’m sure that a lot of people have already gotten the theme, and would like something fresh. This would also permit the other users to see it (since you aren’t removing it).

I also have a list of superb wordpress themes. You should also consider the speed of a theme (not only for SEO propose). And about the avada theme – i dont understand why it is listed here. Lots of features make this wordpress theme very slow. Also the backend is very slow and there are soo many worthless options…some people call this featuritis. But still a good list of wordpress themes.

I think that the ecommerce builders deserve their place. I would also argue that the top builders should not be so very rated as well. However, I suppose that this is the opinion of the different people. I don’t have a dearest but I’ve used Wix, Weebly and Web. I can’t say that either of those has amazed me very much. They are okay, they do the job fine.

I know this is more about WP, but I indeed had to say it.

One thing that springs to mind is these themes security. I had Tripod installed some time ago and I was on a excursion for some time. I got a warning from my host that my theme was the culprit for some malicious files being uploaded on my server that they took care of. However, I couldn’t do anything about this because the theme was at it’s latest update.

So I was wondering how the theme was hacked? Did anyone had similar practice?

I’ve used many of the themes above. My individual recommendation would be Kallyas. They indeed made a good job with the V4+ versions.

Kallyas templates is just so outdated it’s crazy. Why don’t people browse the fresh OR popular sections of the main marketplaces and see what’s out there to compare – I just don’t get it.
